Virtual Entrepreneurship Center
Branding

This brand design is for the Virtual Entrepreneurship Center (VEC) at MiraCosta College. The Virtual Entrepreneurship Center provides resources to MiraCosta students interested in becoming an entrepreneur or better their personal business. 

This brand will help encourage more entrepreneurship at MiraCosta through a fresh aesthetic than can be used for social media posts and web.

The idea behind symbol in the logo is mix the image of a light bulb with a hand to express that this center is where ideas can become reality and there are staff will to help entrepreneurs in their journey to success. Also, the lines making up the wires in the light bulb spell out "VEC" diagonally. 

From there, I was able to move forward with the branding by chosing an appropriate color palette, typography, pattern, and designing icons that express the three different navigations that they can use online. Specifically, "Get Ideas" which is symbolized using the mark from the logo, "Start/Grow Business" which is symbolized with a leaf, and "Get Resources" which is symbolized through an arrow similar to a
road map.
